In this course, the advanced HTML programmer will learn about Active Server Pages(ASP), a server-side scripting environment developed by Microsoft that enables dynamic, data driven Web sites. After successful completion of this course, you will be able to describe the ASP environment and use basic ASP components to enhance Web sites with dynamic features. You will also learn about cookies, server-side includes, and ASP scripting languages.
As someone wanting to make the step up from client-side HTML coding to server-side development, you will gain the skills necessary to start the journey towards proficiency in ColdFusion's markup language, CFML. By possessing the knowledge for creating dynamic, database-powered Web applications, you will enhance your ColdFusion skill set and be well on your way toward tackling projects that can range from small data management systems to large E-Commerce sites.
In this course you will examine the types of enhancements JavaScript can make to Web pages by working with the basic concepts of the JavaScript language: objects, event handlers, and functions. After you complete this course you will be able to recognize the types of enhancements JavaScript can make to Web pages, write the JavaScript code to swap images that respond to a mouse click, write the JavaScript code to change the style and positioning attributes of Web page elements based on when a page is loaded in either Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, write the JavaScript code to dynamically load pages into frames and load new pages into customized windows, and write JavaScript applications for processing and validating user-entered data on Web page forms.

In this course you will learn the purpose of the Component Object Model how to implement COM client applications, implement in-process COM servers and work with Interface Definition Language, marshaling, and type libraries.
