In this course, the advanced HTML programmer will learn about Active Server Pages(ASP), a server-side scripting environment developed by Microsoft that enables dynamic, data driven Web sites. After successful completion of this course, you will be able to describe the ASP environment and use basic ASP components to enhance Web sites with dynamic features. You will also learn about cookies, server-side includes, and ASP scripting languages.
In this course you will create cross-browser DHTML-enabled Web pages and
dynamic images, compare the DOMs from Navigator and Internet Explorer for
similarities and overlap and define DHTML
–enabling. On successful completion of this course you will be able to create
cross-browser DHTML-enabled Web pages using dynamic images that change. Write
a constructor function defining the ActiveElement custom object, add methods
to a custom object, insert secondary methods to custom objects through linked-in
libraries and create moving elements on a page.
Students will learn how to create Web pages with the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). The students will learn how to create tables and lists, use graphics, create hyperlinks, and use the text formatting features of HTML to create fully functional Web pages.
In this course you will examine the foundations of Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE) technology. You will examine the essential building blocks of the Java Developers Kit and the concept of Object Orientation. You will explore the Java Class Library, focusing especially on java.lang and java.io. You will examine how Java can handle mouse and key events, threads and animations. You will examine the Abstract Window Toolkit Package and building Graphical User Interfaces. After completing this course you will be able to describe the benefits of the Java programming language. You will be able to use variables, constants, and literals; build applications and applets, define and use modifiers, declare class and instance properties, use operators and expressions to perform calculations. You will be able to change fonts and colors in the display, use methods of the Graphics class to draw shapes, process key and mouse events, detect and process exceptions, build Graphical User Interfaces and handle GUI events
